WHO WE ARE

We help nurture extraordinary learning experiences

The mission of the Florence Township Education Foundation (hereafter referred to as FTEF) is to fund grants for items that nurture extraordinary educational experiences for students in the Florence Township Public Schools that are beyond the scope of the general school budget. Items include innovative classroom programs, educational opportunities for students, staff development, and state-of-the-art teaching. Formed in 2016, the Florence Twp. Education Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. The Foundation has the district’s support, but we operate independently. The Foundation provides grant support to teachers in the district.

WHAT WE DO

We provide grants to fund specific teacher requests

New Jersey schools face constant funding challenges. While operating costs are increasing rapidly, government funding is decreasing. With such tight resources, school districts are often unable to fund the kinds of innovative programs that would develop and enhance skills necessary for success in the 21st century.

In order to combat these financial strains, the Foundation raises money from local businesses, corporate sponsors, parents, alumni, and other supporters throughout the community.

These contributions are used to support educationally sound, cutting-edge programs designed to better prepare Florence students for the rapidly-changing world.
